ESP Strat 80's Rust Removal
This High end 80's ESP had 2 problems: the bridge saddles were totally rusted and could not be saved and the frets were badly worn. First I removed the bridge saddles, screws and springs. Then I cleaned the bridge plate and other rusty parts. I then installed a set of Graphtec saddles that matched perfectly. Now on to the frets-badly worn under each string all the way up the neck. First I leveled the frets with a flat file then I recrowned each fret with a special file and finally polished each fret. I cleaned the fingerboard and the rest of the guitar. Restring-set up and ready to go. Plays and sounds great! Click on photos.
