Agile 10 String Set Up
This is one massive guitar and not for the faint of heart. Imagine a fingerboard that is 4 to 5 inches wide when the regular guitar fingerboard is about 1 7/8" to 2 1/2" wide. Plus the string guages are about 10-105 which would be like a regular 6 string to the lowest string on a bass guitar! My job here was simply to restring and set up for optimum play. You may have noticed the "Fan" frets. This is a very complicated system and I am sure it involves algebra (and you thought "why do I have to learn this stuff, I'll never use it"). The fan frets have an ergonomic feel to make the instrument easier to play. The customer ordered extra heavy strings which did not fit the guitar. The strings did not fit through the holes in the tuning gears making them useless, so it's best to stick with the stock guages. If you have a 10 string I would recomend using the guages that came with the guitar when new. This way you know they will fit. If you need help restringing and setting up your 10, 9, 8 or 7 string guitar I can help so give me a call. Click on photos.
